Muppets Treasure Island has a treasured place in my heart.  I remember watching it in the cinema when it came out as part of a marathon, along with From Dusk til Dawn and another more forgettable movie.  Tim Curry was more Muppet than actor in this glorious piece of Muppet Mayhem.
It was painted because of our attendance at Libertalia, a Pirate-themed Renaissance fair in the UK.  We rewatched the movie for inspiration and started painting the picture when the news of Tim’s passing came through, so it made the experience a little bittersweet..
