Final Fantasy is such a beloved franchise, something I wasn’t really aware of until I painted this.  Since adding it to our catalogue it has attracted so much attention when we have it on our stall.  It was painted as a commission as a gift to an old student of mine.  This, of course, was a joy to do and even more so when I realised how much it meant to him.  The game had been something of a family tradition, revived during lockdown. It meant such a lot to him to have a reminder of something rather precious.  In turn, I felt privileged to be a small part of that story.
